After a 14 year career at Kennedy and Coe, LLC, a top 100 accounting firm where I worked in a number of leadership and consulting roles, I now focus my consulting efforts on closely-held agriculture businesses and professional service firms.
My interest in family business comes naturally, after growing up in one and helping manage it as an adult. I grew up near Lubbock, Texas, on a cotton farm (in which I am still involved as a shareholder) and was involved in our privately owned cotton gin. After starting my career in Chicago at ConAgra Foods and McKinsey & Company, I returned to Texas in my late 20s to join the cotton gin business.
I was raised in rural Pratt County, Kansas and currently reside in Hutchinson, Kansas with my wife Allison. I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. I have over twenty five years of experience working for and with family owned businesses.
